WRAPPING PARTY

DECEMBER 10, 2023  |  SHAWNEE CLUB 

All are invited to gather at the Shawnee Boys & Girls Club from 10am - 1pm for a morning of lively holiday gift wrapping! Staff, Board, and volunteers like you get together to wrap hundreds of name-brand toys, clothing, books, and more every year to gift to Club members during their holiday parties.

​

There will be coffee, donuts, and music performed by Jamey Aebersold Jazz Band to get in the holiday spirit. Sign up to attend as a gift-wrapping volunteer for this annual party below! All ages and large groups welcome.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana Holiday Parties are generously supported by the Optimist Club of Louisville and Toys for Tots.

SNEAKER BALL

MARCH 23, 2024 |  NORTON HEALTHCARE SPORTS & LEARNING CENTER

Join us for the second annual Great Futures Sneaker Ball with special guest, entrepreneur, and Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith! A philanthropist and motivational speaker, Emmitt will engage in conversation with President & CEO Daryle W. Unseld, Jr. during the program and sign sports memorabilia items for auction.  

 

This premier fundraising gala includes a cocktail reception, plated dinner, auctions, After Party with musical performances, and mission moments to raise funds for our 4 Boys & Girls Clubs in the California, Newburg, Parkland, and Shawnee neighborhoods. 
 

Your support will directly fund our programming efforts with focus areas in Healthy Lifestyles, Character & Leadership, and Acadmic Success. Thank you for being a champion of opening doors to Great Futures for young people ages 6 - 18 in Kentuckiana!

OCTOBER 2, 2023  |  CHAMPIONS POINTE GOLF CLUB

Tee up for the 30th Annual Tom Wood Golf Classic fundraiser! Registration includes: breakfast, lunch by Buffalo Wild Wings, non-alcoholic beverages, greens fees, cart, goodie bag, prizes, and a commemorative golf shirt. The tournament will be filled on a first-registered, first-reserved basis and will be held rain or shine.

JULY 27, 2023  |  TOPGOLF LOUISVILLE

We aim to launch a new and improved Alumni Association to connect Boys & Girls Clubs alums with each other, become more involved in our organization, and build a stronger community network.

 

To celebrate the kick-off of our Alumni Association, we are hosting a fun outing at Topgolf for all Boys & Girls Clubs alumni and friends. Registration is free, but space is limited and filled on a first come first serve basis! Registration includes golfing bays, food, and drinks.

Join in on the fun by celebrating National Boys & Girls Club Week by observing and participating in the activities below.

JUNE 26  |  TRAILBLAZER PROGRAM MEDIA SCREENING
4:30pm - 6:30pm at 100 Witherspoon St.
See what our Club teens have been working on through the Trailblazers Program this past Spring to get hands-on experience in video & media production with partner Media Pros Production.

JUNE 27  |  BIG FOUR BRIDGE WALK
11:30am at 1101 River Road (Big Four Bridge)
Join our Club youth & staff as we take a walking field trip across the Big Four Bridge which will be lit up in blue all week to recognize National Boys & Girls Club Week.

JUNE 29  |  MIDWEST YOUTH OF THE YEAR COMPETITION
Kentucky Youth of the Year and Newburg Club attendee Christeen Wremeo is representing BGCK in the Midwest competition held in Chicago. Keep your eye on social media for updates and to cheer her on this day!​


JUNE 30  |  CALIFORNIA CLUB LUNCH & LEARN
11:30am - 1pm  at 1508 W. Kentucky St. Floor #3
Hang out with youth at the California Club! Tour our newest Club, enjoy free lunch, and get to know some of our inspiring kids through games & activities with staff.

FEBRUARY 20, 2022  |  CALIFORNIA BOYS & GIRLS CLUB

This event celebrated our Youth of the Year program's outstanding candidates and the grand opening of the California Boys & Girls Club!

 

Following a ribbon-cutting and reception, 3 outstanding youth – one from Newburg, Shawnee, and Parkland – presented a speech they’ve written sharing their personal story and growth while at the Boys & Girls Clubs. Congratulations to Christeen W. for winning BGCK Youth of the Year and Kentucky State Traditional Youth of the Year!
