Michael Vick is recognized as one of the most exciting and dynamic quarterbacks in NFL history. A four-time Pro Bowl selection and the No. 1 overall pick in the 2001 NFL Draft, he spent 13 seasons in the NFL, playing six years for the Atlanta Falcons and five years for the Philadelphia Eagles, with final stints with the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers. Vick baffled NFL defenses with his generational accuracy, power, agility, and speed, ultimately throwing for 22,464 yards and 133 touchdowns.

Vick's commitment extends significantly into the community, driven by his background as an alumnus of the Boys & Girls Club. He frequently credits the club for providing a pivotal, safe environment during his childhood in Newport News. He has since given back to the organization, notably by collaborating on the renovation and dedication of the Michael Vick Teen Center at his former club.

His years of experience as an educator and mentor include:

• Founding the V7 Football Experience in 2011, through which he has mentored and run comprehensive training programs for aspiring young athletes for over a decade.

• Serving as a coaching intern with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he notably mentored Patrick Mahomes during his rookie season.

• Establishing the Team Vick Foundation to support youth, the incarcerated, and families in need, and providing a significant donation to restore the Team Vick Field in North Philadelphia for youth sports.

In December 2024, Vick began a new chapter, returning to the Hampton Roads area when he was named the 19th head football coach at Norfolk State University (NSU), a prestigious HBCU. He expressed his honor and humility at the opportunity to "lead, mentor, and transform" the NSU football program.
