Donated toys provide youth with sense of normalcy during pandemic.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Christmas toy donations are giving a "sense of normalcy" to kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Kentuckiana.

Your donations to "Toys for Tots" made the Newburg Holiday Party a joyful one.

The Boys and Girls Club shared the donated toys, which included some from the optimist club.

Marvia Presley, unit director of the Newburg Boys & Girls Club, tell us words can barely describe how much these donations mean as they try to provide a sense of normalcy.

"This is so special to our kids, especially with all the challenges from COVID. But not only that, the violence in Louisville has greatly impacted our club members and some of our club members have lost one parent or both parents this season," Presley said.

The Newburg Boys and Girls clubs are offering counseling and other resources for its members experiencing trauma.
